NELLAI PEETHA MAGAN MR.RAMAKRISHNA
Mr.Ramakrishnan born at Tirunelveli town to the poor parents of erstwhile mayana workers. His father and his grand fathers were all the simple workers of Mayanam i.e. grave yard workers for the Hindu saivites Many generations of Mr.Ramakrishnan was doing the yeomen jobs for the people of Tirunelveli under the castes of Saiva pillai,Saiva chettiar, and saiva mudaliar.
For their community service by the Rama krishnan’s parents were receiving few maracas
of paddy in every three months from the erstwhile community leaders. For many generations the yeomen service groups never saw cash for their works.
After the Indian Independence every one in the age group of five and above start going to study in the near by Govt.schools.So Ramakrishna’s father also thought to send his kids to school. Those days every one has to pay some amount of schools fees, books and school uniforms. Here the community leaders of Saiva pillai.saiva chettiar and Saiva mudaliar arranged to pay for the Study expenses to Mr.Ramakrishnan.
How ever Ramakrishna also took much initiative and interest on his studies because one of his community peoples studied even to primary educations. So his hard works fetches him god regards in his studies and he has completed his elementary educations.
While on his studies also Mr.Ramakrishnan used to visits his father’s work place at Karuppandurai near Kurukkuthurai on the bank of Holy River Thambirabarani.
At the childish way he thought of his fathers service to the community is the real yeomen service and nobody have the courage to do last rite performances to the humans of Nellai.
Under this climate of acceptance and understanding the basic need of yeomen service is to follow the rituals of Hindu saivite written in Devaram and Thiruvasagam.Also learnt the practical aspect of the first day of pyre to the humans were organized by him to earn little cash for his family day to day needs. During his holidays he used to support physically and practically to his dad to perform the last rites with fire and rituals.
How ever when he grown up and reaches to his high school days he was little hesitating to do this type of jobs by his father and family members. With support of all concerned community leaders Ramakrishna got scholarships from Govt of Tamil Nadu and supported by community leaders he has came out from His college studies as a colorful graduate.
When he applied for his job at Govt.of Tamil Nadu on the basis of his scheduled class and poverty he got preferences in his govt job in the department of Judiciary. He was performing his Govt duties with out fail but lack of interest and social service attitude
He was not interested to continue his judiciary duties. Many disturbed nights and confessions were prevailed on him and his family members were opposing his resignations from Govt jobs for better life and future career.
How ever he has resigned from the job in judiciary and reached Karuppanthurai along with his aged father to perform the yeomen service job in the burial grounds for the humans last rites.
His personnel character, as smiling facets, decent behaviors and calling every one as MUTHALI and politeness, and also his neat and cleanliness of self and the area he is performing . He is welcomed and loved by each and every one who is about to die or who is witnessing the dead body burials at Karuppandhurai liked him one and all.
His dedications to the last rite rituals and performance and item required for the rites were in his finger tips. As per him the following items are required at the first day of pyre to the burial ground. They are: _

b) Kunkumam,
c) Viboothi
d) Manjal powder
e) Raw rice for vaikkarisi
f) Flower loose(Vidupookkal)
g) Flower garland
h) Agar pathies
i) Karpooram\
j) Coconut
k) Vetrilai & pakku
l) Mud kalayam
So like that next day morning last rites and dissolving the ashes to the Ganga and or the holy rivers of India .The following items are required:-

9. Fruits for Panchamirtham

16. Nava dhaniyam
17. Black ellu
18. Sandal paste
19. Kunkumam
20 Cow milk

23 Rice Pori
The above mentioned articles are the minimum requirements to dissolves the remains of the human’s last rite as per Ramakrishna’s simple knowledge.And the quantity is everything as small as 50 Gms each will suffice to perform last rite to human yeomen services.
