When we reached at Rathna theatre we found  few hundred  heads in and around the theater premises and the roadss leads as Nellaiyapar High Road is also jam packed with MGR’S fans and MGR’S Mantrams and DMK volunteers with lot of flags and Thalappai on their heads.Every one in that lot would like to see their most favourite Leader and Makkal Thilagam MGR”s Mannathi Mannan tamil movie on the same day first show first day.

In that, heavy packed rush on the main roads and in the theatre premises we lost our hopes to see the movie on the same day.How ever, i have seen many of our school friends  were also assembled near the gate and awaits the theater gates to open and allows the cine goers to enter inside the ticket counters.But so far the picture box carries the Mannathi Mannan has not arrived to the theater.The film box was carried by the distributor to th Tiruchendur Lord Murugans blessings before the release of the film in the theatres.

It was already 12:30 hrs no sign of arrivals of the picture box from Tiruchendur.Afterwards i have been told by my elders that up to 1330 hr on the day is RAAGU KAALAM  hence the show will not begins at this times and will be released at the Aspicious time at 14;30 hrs only.Meanwhle my stomach found many rats running across and also felt hungry on the main road.so with my friends we entered into the near by govt taluk office premises and finished our left out vadas,bondas, pakodas and stomach fullwater and filled our burner.

At 1400 hrs every one rushes towards the main gate of Rathna theater and also found the Gr8 MGR s film Mannati Mannan i arrived with lot of security.The gates of the floor the lowest classe ticket counters opened and lot of pulling and pushings and also stampede inside and approach ways towards the ticket counter.How ever a special counter for kids were opened at the main entrance near the canteen side so we kids were also in queue in that and just paid the cash at the counter of Paise fifteen only and no tickets will be issued to us where as we shall be permitted inside the cinema hall of Rathna.

After few minutes am found few hundred kids on the floor tickets were seated really on the stage floor and now the men couters were opened and hundreds of fans enters into the hal with rushi to capture the rear seats of the cinema hall.Few of the fans dries their shirts on th stage pedastal fans very bravely as they reached inside the Cinema hall to see the First day First show of MGR’s Mannathi mannan.Every audience faces are delighted with proud and happiness. How ever the picture bell rangggggg every one was seated with pin drop silence.Movie was on with GEVA colored one with U certificate shown on the screen.First scene itself was a song sequence our all time hero MGR  is riding a chariot  of four  horses ,and the chariots top mast with Flying DMK’s party Flag  of Black and red flying majestically and also our MGR singing lavishly as ACCHAM ENBATHU MADAMAIYADA ANCHAMAI DRAVIDAR URIMAIYADAAA…….AARILUM SAAVU  AND NOORILUM SAAVU … AND .. THAYAGAM KAAPPATHU …KADAMAIYDAAAAAAA.ETC

Hundreds  of rose flowers thrown on the screen,buckets of  rose flowere petels were springld over MGR’s chariots o the screen and also every on with their shouts on joy and gladness with varitis o whistlesssssss break all barriers of sound inside and also outside the theater.Every inch of his song made our bloods to boil,heart to throb, nerves in high pitch,all tme tempo of humans endurances hav sen and witnessed on the spot of first day first show.Long live MGR’s soul on every fans of India Cinema….Hudosssssss!!!!

The great MGR’s movie beeing released at Rathna theater during the Deepavali days.So we students of Bungalow higher elementary school decided to see the MGR’s Mannatha mannan Tamil movi on the first day first show and also to show our bravenss is not less than any other MGR’s fans club at Tachanallur.
To see the  MGR’s movies we can not go for  stealings or cheatings as have been adviced by our mentor MGR himself.We create the work 2 earn few coins to see the movies.So prior to the deepavali day self and my elder brother kumaresan decided to earn by grinding rice and urd dal for mallikai poo idlis at the mechanical grinder.

And also we started to makes the rice powder at the black stoned ural with wooden heavy ulakkai and at the bottom of the ulakkai having a strong
steel couplings for earlier/easier powder makings.How ever we have succesfully completed our tasks and earned around 50 naya paise for that very lavish Tasks.How ever our tender hands were punctured few places at our palms and fingers and we also never told to our mom and or dad and also applied little coconut oil applied and slept.

Mornings of Very happy deepavali arrived our mind and souls are not in our homes but at the Rathna Theater were the MGR’s Film Mannathi Mannan and the expected heavy rushing from rural and urban MGR’s fans.Some how we have completed our bathings and filled enough waters for the entire day from the nearby Kodakan channel and we waits for my mom and dad to complete the Deepavali poojas and offers to our lovely god Laksmiji.

When the poojas were delaying due to last minute changes in our menue and hot mallikaippoo idlies were ready , hot sambar was also ready but still its delayed on the making of white coconut chutney for mallikaipoo idlies.Some how that also ready, my dad and mom told us to spread   all the pandam like AAMA VADAI,UZHUNTHA VADAI,BONDA,BUJJI,SUSIYAM and also BHOLI along with few idlis and sambar is kept infront of the goddess Lakshmi.My dad carried out the poojas and punaskarams but our  hearts and souls are not with the poojas but at the RATHNA theater only.

When poojas were over we thought we shall run out to theater but my dad said hey all the fire crackers to be burst in front of our house then only we shall serve our break fast at Happy deepavali.How ever New dressings were kept for the poojas with Manjal applied at the corners of our so called shirts and trousers.And we worn the Happy deepavali dress and atlast sat for the Heavy and interesting eatries with lot of sweets and pakodas.And few sweets like Bholi and susiyams were smuggled out from the thookku chattis and many vadas and bondas also carried in a  news paper and kept in our trouser packts and  started to run towards the Rathna theater.
Wow what is happenings in Rathna Theater on th day of releasing of MGR’s Mannathi Mannan will be explained in our next pisode!!! Pls bear with me!! thanx lot!!!!!

The theme of the festival is all the humans and Bhagwans of all the world were disturbed,tortured,,tarnished,killed,misbhaved by the demon like Asuran and his parivarangal means their followers.Every one has complained to the Lord to stop the misbehaviours of these demons.But as  demons had lot of blessings from Lord Siva  and his life can not be forfeited by any one in the three  worlds ie aahayam,boologam and pathazham too.

Since Lord Siva created Lord Murugan to kill th demon asuran and safe guard the unity,integrity among human and bhagwans.Hence  the birth of Lord Murugan took place at this world.As a boy of his age he has been taught all type of fightings including missiles and anti-missile systems along with lot of blesssings fro Lord Brahma and lord Siva.Now the times has come to chat with Demon Asuran to stop all the anti hman activities as at this time world body advices North Korea to stop atomic power projects against humans and his neighbours.As on now  how the north Koreans donna care about the world bodies like that DEmon Asuran also not coms on to negotiating tables for peaceful settlements.

Hence the war  like events took place against the Demons of Asuran.How ever the Asurans are studied all the magical activities like disappearence like OSAMA BIN LADEN,and also change his human soul into trees and animals.How ever all these tricks were well known to the Lord Murugan and the real fight took place as one verses one.Not like All super powers are in one side and the lone side is IRAQ which stood the tremendous fight against superpowers.How ever the IRAQ is almost destroyed by them but still they could not bring them the so called Democracy by forces.

As the on versus on between Lord Murugan Vs  Asuran took place in the Beach of Tiruchendur.First Lord killed the head of the demon as GAJA MAHA SOORAN and again the dead body  become alive as SINGA MUGAN.When singa mugan is killed again the demons body takes shelter into the heavy weight and dangerous as PADMA SOORAN.When  teses Padmasooran also killed by Lord Murugan. ho ever he has again dis-appeared an enters into   as a tree.How ever the lord came to know his magical activities hence thrown his tremendous missile like SOOLAYUTHAM to pearced Padmasoorans hart and his body fell on the ground in two peaces.Now he has pleaded the lord Murugan
to keep him as SEVAL as a flag post for him and the another part as a Mayil (peacock ) as hios vahanam.

As the lord of loves and affections he has agreed up on and taken his body into him as a Mayil and a seval and also he has been blessed by lord Murugan to celebrate the victory day  every year on th same spot in Tiruchendur. Due to Asuran request every year the festival been conducted and also lakhs of  pepoles assemble on this day at he place of SOORA SAMHARAM at Tiruchendur to get blessed by lord Murugan.

When the Lord Murugan kills or samharams the demon Asuran lakhs of peoples/devotees cries for the victory as VETRIVEL MURUGANUKKUUUUuu…..AROHARAAAAAAAA SOORANAI VENTRA MURUGANUKKU…… AROHARAAAAA and all the victory nathams been played by hundreds of devotees and also Indian Armies Madras Battalions   taken these words as a powerful victory at the war criesssssss.And also our freedom fighters like Veera Pandiya Kattabomman also used theses war cries as VETRIVELLLLLLL…… VEEEEEEERA VELLLLLLL…AND VETRIVEL MURUGANUKKUUU AROHARAAAAAA And on.God bless everyone!!!!!!!!!

SOORA SAMHARAM AT TIRUCHENDUR

The climax of six days programmes at Tiruchendur on the name of KANDHA SAHTI festival.lakhs of devotees in an around India and many devotees from near by Srilanka,malaysia,singapore,uk and usa tooo.

There are days and nights we childrens of our age at our place of Tachanallur dreamt of  the oncoming Deepavali.Some how New dresses were stitched according to parents packets and the ability of our Tailor uncle swamy.Uncle sway was a old tailor of our vilage and best friend of my lovely dad.So what ever the adverse comments we childrens of family were simply ignored or neglected by our parents.The most comments of his stitching was No pockets in our shirts or Half pants,No buttons  were stitched,joints underneath is not evenly stitched and so it bites while we walk etc are nothing for our parents.So when ever we met the old tailor swamy at his shop if it happens to be kept open.When we shouts at him for the technical faults on his stitchings he used to smile and vehemnly neglects us.So when we shouts at top of our voice and we abuses him like: yoooove who has taught u the tailoring and who is ur master .But he smiles and said like u boys and like ur dads only gave me a chance to learn the stitching from u like boys only and so my stitching will be like that only.Thereby our mouth become so shut and we never argues or abuse his stitchings otherwise the next year deepavali no dressings at all from him?

How ever on the day of Happy Deepavali my mom used to get up at 0130 hrs and  start grinding for Uzhuntha vadai, Aama  vadai,Mixed dal vadai etc.And she shouts at my dad to get up and cut onions,green chillies,ginger for all vadas and for sambar.My dad also very sincerely cut those vegetables for vadas and sambar.Then he will prepare four to five  Marapodi Aduppu for each item to be boiled or fried.In the small rented houses there are no big kitchens are space to light number of marapodi aduppu.So maximum number of marapodi aduppu’s are lightened at our varanda only.

In first aduppu Harahar dal will be boiling for Sambar, inside the harahar dal itself few potatoes will be boiling for potato bonda, and in the next  aduppu Mallikaippooo  idlis will be boiling,third ones will be with very big gadai(Irumbu chatti or now adays called  big frying pans) filled with two kilo grammes of oil in that getting heated for frying dal vadas and bujji there after.

My mom will be finishes her grinding one after another and each items of vadas will be fried so delicately by my dad and fragrances of dal vadas,bujjis donna allow us to sleep further.So we used to get up and run towards the Kodahan canal and jump inside the coldest running  water and swim here and there and little fights among friends on who reaches the other banks of the canal and on.

Just after hurried bathings at bathing ghats we run towards our homes to wear Happy Deepavali Clothings and by this times my dad used to keep our fire crackers behind the warm fire to 100% firing and or crackings.Every one in our home finished their bathings and all vadas,bujjis,susiyam,bholi some times, are all offered to the lord laksmi and prayers will be offers to her and all available bhagwans of our home who are in the form of framed pictures and or brass metal statues.Just after offers to our almighties we first crack the fire crackers and all our area peoplesss should ask hey deepavali vanthacha etc.

Then we all sit together and eat all the deepavali sweets and savories,all type of vadas and bholies and on completions the same items will be carried to all our relatives and neighbours and got their blessings till next deepavali.WISH U VERY HAPPY DEEPAVALIIIII!!!!!!

SMART SEETHAPPANALLUR GALS AT THIRUVENKATANATHA PURAM

The rural culture transparency been seen at Thiruvenkatanatha puram.last and final Saturday of the Purattasi month makes every one glad and joy to vist near by Perumal koils to get them blessed for ever.and also the young kids were also carried towards thie temples to get to know the cultures of Purattasi month of the year.When the author interviewed them but found surprised replies from the Rural gals of Sri Meenakshi Higher Secondary Schols gals from Seethappa nallur, Question was what u all prayed to lord Thiruvenkata nathar or what u r going 2 ask the lord for u??
But the reply was s sensitive and hair raisings.Left side the first gal said i shall ask lord to rain fo us to have better cultivations.the second gal said i shall asks the lord to no attacks to our vilage from Chickenguya deceases.third gal said every one in our country to live in peace and tranquility.Fourth and last gal with yellow silk skirt and blouse said all gals in our India should study and she said i shall pray for total educations for all to reach every villages??

Devotees after standing in long queues had the few seconds darshanam of their lord Thiruvenkata nathar at Thiruvenkata natha puram and they had their luncheons at the right hand side of the temples were the big samiana and pandals are positioned for resting of devotees.After their stomach ful pack lunches the devotees started singing and dancing among them selves. Here we are seeing a local and folk dances like kummi aatam been performed by the devottees and witnessed by others.The kummi is the gals verh famous dance numbers of the locals.They themselves sings and dance with striking both hands together and also clappings over head,sideways and also moves around a circle.The rythm is get fast as per beats of the number increases.Many generations joins together to sing and dance and maintains their entertanment values above the god and godeese blessings.

This wonderful views we are seeing is the entrnace of the feet of Lord perumal by climbing 18 steps to reach his feet.While on u step out on these 18 steps u will find many beggars were awaiting u to donate enormously and that will makes the way to reach heavenly abode at the shortest time.And the top of the 18 steps left hand is accomodated by the huge police force under a SHO is royally seated and watch the funs of the heavenly aboding devotees and the beggars.Is it not the duty of the police force to removes this beggars away from the entrances?or is it not the rsponsibilities of the temple authorities to keeps them away from the devotees?How ever very few devotees only donates them lavishly to reach heavnly abode.God bless them speedy recoveries.So dear devotees while u enters in to this temples u should not opens ur eyes to see the surroundings and pls do mind ur own business ????!!!!!! TOWER OF BLESSINGS FROM THIRUVENKATANATHA PURAM

The great tower of blessings looks so marvellous at the adjacent to the river Thambira Bharani is called suthern Tirupathi or Thiruvenkata natha puram.The pandals adjacent to the compound wall is to regularise the devotees to ener through cash counters for compulsary buying of atleast One rupee entrance tickets.The same counter sales tickets for sirappu dharsanam for Rs 5/- and mundans the head cost Rs 10/- and for archana and aradhana.Coconuts cutting or breaking costs etc etc in one counter only.Atleast the temple authorities should have arranged separate counters for every items that would have been more comfortable to devotees.How ever the micro phone announcements by the staffs to keeps the temple neat and clean and he himself stands on the most dirt and dusty place on the outer prharams.Of course lord collcts lumpsum amounts on these type of compulsary collections from devotees.SAnd also they treat those devotees paid Rs5/- for spl Darshanams as next to god alone only.LOng live poor devotees who stood for more that few hours to get lords darshanam on the last day and last Saturday of the purattasi month.Lord .Thiruvenkata natha puram bless every oneeeeeeee@!!!!!!

The whole village youngsters like me were on dreams on coming Depavali celebrations.One time new dress and one time sweets and savourys on home preparartions and lot of expectations on the just imaginations of the Susiyam,rava kesari , AAma vadai,uzhuntha vadai,bujji,and sometimes urulai kizhangu ponda also.And some times along with these eateries sambar and chutney with softy and mallikai poo idlies too.

The above eatreis will be and must  be consumed on the same day.But the Happy deepavali New dresses are to be maintained for the whole year.So we youngsters have the dreams  on New clothings for shirtings and trousers.Every rich and moderate families buy their required clothes a month earlier and get it stitched  and awaits for their Deepavali day to wear.But poors like us labourers,mill workers,beedi workers,kissans,and other  brass metal  vessel workers are to wait for the last day to buy our New clothes for the Happy Deepavali.

As my father was a accountant on the brass vessels manufacturer a small scale company of Tachanallur and his payments or advances for Deepavali will be paid just a day before the Deepavali function day only.So there are many days and nights self and my brother used to think abt the coming deepavali and the ways and means 2 enjoy .But my father was a very jovial to us and he had lot  of confidence to get a new dresses for his kids of five in his small family.

When we ask him dad ; when u r going to buy clothes for our new dresses for deepavali? He used to say don’t worry my kids don’t worry u all go to our roadside tailor and one time his close friend Mr.Subbiah tailor and give ur shirts and trousers measurements and go to ur schools. Others i shall looks after.So we also reached his shop and gave our measurements and also want the amendments and modifications of the latest fashions with trouser with a pocket and shirts with inner and outer pockets.He will be very glad to accept our opinions on the latest modelling technology of those times and noted everything on his diary.

When on second day we have enquired him the progress on our dresses he will tell us dey—- Deepavali  on third day why do u disturbs me go– go and come on next date.So final day also approached i.e prior to deepavali also arrived.And when we enquired abt our dresses he said come at evengs and collects ur dresses.Woow we were very happy and feels  our dreams going to comes on alive and sooooo.
Evenings also arrived when we reaches to our Gr8 tailor of tachanallur Mr.Subbiah Tailor what we found him struggles with our finished products with a old spectacles on his face half hanging and struggles to stitch GAZA for our shirt buttons.When we shouted to him yovvvv ennayya pannureengaaaaaa means tailor sir what u do with our shirts? He shouts back stitching gaza and buttons only if u are still hurry u stitch gaza and buttons urselves.So we are also don’t worry abt that taken or collected our four shirts and four trousers along with few buttons and needle with white threads too.When we reaches our home to stitch our gazas for button holes  and buttons in opposite sides.

When we completes and our gaza and button stitchings when we wants to wear and test the tailors capability we used to feel very bad abt him.Becaz he has not stitches a single pockets in our shirts and also in trousers.We ran towards the tailor shops and shouts at him why he has not stitched pockets etc.He inturns shouts at our father becaz he has been told to purchase 3 meters of shirting clothes for four shirts, and two meters of clothes for trousers ur dad bought only 2 3/4 meter for shirtings and 1 3/4 meteres of trouser clothings only da ?? if so how can i stitch three  to four pockets  in each shirt and tyrusers??

So when am clarified to my dad  said a single peace  of full length cloth buying ,the shop keepers said; this much will do for that many shirts and trousers dear.So i bought that much clothes adviced by the shop keepers to avoid stealing of clothes by the tailors they said .So dear pls donna mind, in next deepavali we all will go to the cloth shop and we shall buy the new  color and design and measurements as per ur choices.And  my dear lovely and obedient childrens let us celebrate this deepavli with this and next deepavali we enjoy much more fancy and gaity ok.WISH U ALL HAPPY DEEPAVALIIIIIIIIII ENJOY THE DEEPAVALI WITH ALL POORS NEAR BY.GOD BLESS ONE AND ALL AT THIS DEEPAVALIIIIIIIIII OK
