On the occassions of Astabandhana Maha kumbhabisekam of the Ulagamman temple being carried out.The cow poojas and feedings on the poojas for the betterments of the agriculturists of the word to get more support from their cattles to produce more by the humans ,for the humans and of the humns.these feedings will give lot of showers to this world to get more water .more food thereby no humans in the world shall die of shortage of foods/water and cattles.And these poojas were witnessed by Lord Vishnu and Mahadevi on one one side and 1000″s of devotees in other side. Jaiiiiiii Ulagamman!!! Jai her feeds to this humanity.!!!

THE COLORFUL UMBRELLAS OF SAIVITES MUTT MAHA SRI

The colorful umbrellas along with their Saivites mutt chief Maha Sri Perungiulam swamigal carrying out the procession of the Mha Khumbha Abhisekam of Goddess Ulagamman Temple at Tachanallur on 28 Jun 06.The swamigal and the processions are about to enter the Sivan koil to receive the Goddess Ulagamman(The processing deity) to the temple of Goddess Ulagaman temple.The procession along with 100″s of saivites men and women were singing Thirumurai /parayanam and lot of Nadhaswaram recitals, Naiyandi melam performance,and Chendai mezham from kerala making the procession a jubilant ,devotional and entertainments.Every boys and gals were dancing te rythms of naiyandi mezham,an elders were on the way to heaven by hearing the devotional songs.Let the Goddess Ulagamman Blesses u all!!!

Maha Kumbha abisekam of Goddess Ulgamman koil at Tachanallur.During this event the main deity( Utsava moorthy) being carried on the Sivigai or pallakku(Palquin).Where ever this pallakku reaches on the streets of the community everywhere the lights were decorated and their house Kutthu vizhakku”s were decorated with flowers and kept on the streets on tables and the poojas been carried out to the Utsava moorthy.The processions were on 28 jun 06 and the main maha khumbha abhisekam will be carried out on 02 Jul 06.

The great ancient wood carvings and the arts of orthodex arts were carved on the theru of Lord Nellai appar Temple At Tirunelveli are worth seeing.!00’s of wooden carved toys,figures,statues are the symbol of King pandya’s period.In every floor the sculptures are decorating the theru and also which supports the structural support for the second and consequetive floors of the great theru.!00s arts, wooden carvings,decorative pieces are worth seeing on the different floors of the theru.In this view we will gets only during the month of Jun and july only.
Visit once and enjoy the ancient arts of wooden carvings and orthodex modern natural paintings and enjoy and gets also blessings from Lord Nellai Appa and Gandhimathi ambal.

Biggest theru or Car of lord Nellaiappar of Tiruneveli is very famous for its car festival in AANI matham or jul 09 of year 2006 is getting ready to roll on the four car streets of tTrunelveli.The corporataion authorities makes the road best for the Great Nellai appar Ther to be pulled and rolle on the four main streets in and around of the temple is called four ratha veedhies.The car have seven steps with the height of around 40 feet without any decorations.After decorations it may reaches to another 30 foot in total will have weight of around200 tonnes and the width of around 20 feet.The whole weightage was carried in earlier days at the eight wooden wheels only.But recently steel bars and steel wheels are fitted on the four corners and but still inner wheels are of wooden only.And before the therottam the theru have been face lifted with varnish and or other natural chemicals ,medicines,oiling and greasing of wheels and general maintenance being made.

It was the year 1976 i have completed my annual leave as the whole unit preplanned a year ahead.As per the planned leave i had been to my home with my spouse Mrs Lakshmi.We had enjoyed and refreshed,revisited to our relatives and all our stains were fully removed and reached back to my unit at gorakhpur.

While we back to our unit only i came to know my spouse is conceivd and due for her delivery by october 1976.Regular medical check ups were carried out and due medical history card have ben made at near By Air Force Hospital but as this is her first delivery she says she should go and have delivery at her home with her lovely mom nurture only.

So i have decided to drop her at home for safe delivery and good moral, looking after her by their family members and her friends.Two months early it self our reservations were done on Varanasi-chennai express on Jun first week keeping in view i shall get few days casual leave of my life priod.Hence i have put an application on compassionate grounds stating that my spouse has to be dropped at her home for safe delivery.Letter of our confirmation on coming on short leave and dropping her at home for safe delivery were also despatched.

Now i have applied for casual leave for seven days on compassionate ground.Concerned officer in-charge-of my section SNCO’I/c approved and also my section comander approved my application on compassionate grounds.How ever this application have been turn down by the admin authorities.Flt.Lt.RR Naidu was an adjutant of that squadron and also we are all good raports on each others.How ever he said Commanding Officer Wg.Cdr Chandra sekar not allowing me to approve your applications there by please do meets him and explains your problems.

How ever i have not given any appointments to meets him and explain my problems.After few days i have been called by Commander and said you should know my policy of leaves and entitlements etc.So i shall not approve your application on casual leave.And also he is induce me to withdraw my applications.How ever i said to him.Sir, “There is no such policy called Chandrasekar policy on IAF”.

If you are adamant not to listen my family problems and you may give my application back to me with ur remarks there by i shall approach to my higher authorities .ie Station Commander Group Capt.MG Ramachandran for the approval of my casual leave.

With his adamant attitude s towards Airmen’s welfare and family problems were neglected by the Commander of the said Squadron almost all airmen were felt very bad about him and his gesture.How ever am was so much adamant to drop my family to her home for safe delivery.
So am also decided wheather the air Force authorities were granting me leave or not but i have decided to go on leave without their permissions.

Whole squadron technicians were boiling themselves because like me few are also effected with the casual leave problems.But every one including my section in-charge Sgt.Lakshmanan was praying for me to get my leave sanctioned,and my section commander Flt.Lt Rawat A(E)L also praying for me to get my leave granted .By this time many Flying Pilots known to me were convincing me to drop the leave applications and get ur wife admitted in the Air Force hospital at Gorakhpur for better treatments and delivery ,as adviced by our Comander through them but i could not accept their suggestions and unlawful orders.

How ever it was June 01 year 1977 my payments of the last month have been drawn and about to go on furlough(With out leave) to my home with my wfe to be dropped. I was saying to my section friends and in-charge bye bye god is there to prevent and allows me to fight this type of arrogance against the IAF administrator. By this time some one from unit orderly room called me that Unit Adjutant wants to talk to you.Am also reached half mind but for my surprise Unit Adjutant Flt.Lt RR Naidu said gentlemen your Commander is very kind enough to grant you casual leave of only seven days and also he said u shall not ask any extentions and if u asks also will not be granted by this unit etc.

And atlast he gave me the P-# the permissions to be absent from unit for the periods of seven days approved by commander to me.ooooooooooppppppppppppppppppppppssssssss atlast the tensions in me and my section been relieved and i have left for my home to drop my spouse at her residence for safer delivery.How ever like me few cases were also there but they were all rejected their casual leaves and all families were admitted to AF Hospital and out of five 2 cases of deliveries were failure due to various reasons there by every one in the Squadrons were abusing,blaming,and also condemning his policies on casual leaves.

The said kumbha abhisekam will be conducted on 10 jul 2006 between 0510 hours to 0610 hours on monday in Tamil we say AANI matham 26.

The concerned schedule programmes begins on 07 Jul 06 on AANi matham 23 Friday early morning from 04:30 hrs.

The following programmes wil be conducted :07 Jul 06 to 10 Jul 06 are

04:30 hrs-Mangazha Isai,Thirumurai Parayanam,Sri Maha ganapathy homam Gaja poojai etc

08:00 hrs- Ruthra moorthy Homama.Kalisri homam,Abhisekam and Alankaram ,Theeparathanai.

16:30 hrs-Sankiraharanam theerthams will be carried over Well decorated Elephant.An also spl poojas and punaskarams.

07:00 hrs-Navagraha homam, Dhana poojai,Cow poojai and Deeparathanai

17:30 hrs- Raksha Bandhanam,Yajamana varnam,Acharya varnam and kumbha alankaram.

The entrance of th ECHS poly clic through the REPCO bank at Samathanapuram first floor.This clinic is well settled and nicely maintained and better than Many Hospitals and clinics of in and around Tirunelveli.Good parking lot with tea/coffee vending machines,Tv Room with lot of cushioned chairs,two Doctors and a dentists who looks after this clinic .

The glittering golden chariot of Lord Karthikeya have been photographed by me on 17 Jun 1977 at Tiruchendur.The great Black and white photographs were taken and presented to many competitions on best Photography in B&w photographs at Photograhers associations at Belgaum durin 1977.Ofcourse it was most appreciated photo among the competitors.The place Tiruchendur is situtated at the bay pof bengal on the east coast side near tuticorin Dist.Its a unique worshipping place among Hindu devotees of world wide. Dear readers vist once to be blessed by Lord karthikeya for ever ok @!!!!!

Governmnet of India introduces the above systems for the benefit of the ex-servicemen and their families.The retired means the pensioners of Defence services only.and the contribution of one time payments as per their pensions starting from the lowest rank a sepoy as Rs.1800/-only.And the maximum for the below officers ranks as 8400/-only.

Once they have joined the scheme as per the individual pensioners choice, its being applicable to the pensioner,spouse and childrens below 25 yrs and the elderly parents if their income not exceed Rs1500/-per month.After joining the ECHS authorities were issued to their members a smart card which he can carry all over India for medical treatments at the nearest Polyclinics and ,for emergencies a selected medical college hospitals and hospitals were identified and recognized by this authorities and can have treatments as per directives of the Polyclinic Doctors and the administartors.

At present in Tirunelveli dist one and only hospital is recognised is of SHIFA CLINIC cum Hospital at Tirunelveli.junction near the double decker over bridge.And the Poly clinic is situated at the Samathana puram near REPCO Co-operative banks premises at the first floor.

This clinic is the first of its kind in Tirunelveli,tuticorin and kanyakumari districts.How ever nowa days Tuticorin and kanya kumari districts have their own Poly Clinics.

The Tiruneveli polyclic has 600 members of 2600 family members including kids and elders.Out of these strength around 2000 members of the families were, one or other ways are sick patients only.So average per working day comes as around 100 patients visits this nellai clinic alone.

Since openings of this ECHS Polyclinic around 50 patients were refered to various hospitals in Tamil Nadu for the By pass surgeries and 10 - 12 patients were forwarded for their renal failures.Hence this hospital cum clinics spend on behalf of the Govt.of.India for the by pass surgeries as 50 X 2,00,000 =1,00,00,000 ( One crore rupees) for the treatments of the poor Ex-servicemen and their kith and kins.

And the renal failures and day to day accidents and incidents are separate expenses.And further the monthly check of the prolonged deceases like Bp,NIDDM and IDDM are controlled and regular medicines and sugar testing and blood testings were carried out and the health check up cards were being maintained by this Polyclinic.

To maintains the strength of the patients the Polyclinic is having One doctor general medicine for gents and another Medical officer nominated as a lady doctor.A chair for dentist also approved and employed for the yeomen services to the ex.servicemen and their families.Attached laboratory,ECG, and ex-ray machines are in operational positions.An Ambulance service is provided for any eventualities.

Well arranged waiting hall with cushioned chairs of around twenty for the patients.And a good entertainments purpose a color Television set is provided.Tamil and English daily papers were purchased and available for patient.Tamil Weeklies like Kumudam and Ananda vikatan for the regular visitors and also magazines like SAINIK SAMACHAR,Health care magazines to create good awareness among the patients problems, causes and remedial actions.

Well administered office with Computers for easy verification and the Recognize patients and their family members thumb impressions are being checked and verified then only the treatments begins.And ECHS issued Smart Cards are valid in all India ECHS polyclinics to get their treatments and any helps on any type of medical facilities.

To quench the thirst of the patients the Poly CLinic have the OZONE cleaned cold and hot drinking water facilities for 24 hours.And a Coffee/Tea vending machine is operational in the working hours.Toilet is attached to this clinic for the patients utility.
As a whole this ECHS POLYCLINIC are 100 times better than the existing hospitals and clinincs in Tirunelveli and surroundings.

Its further like to improves when the strength of the clinic patients strength increases and the blessings from Southern Commad Head quarters initiatives and maintenance of the polyclinic staff are long way to go and looks after the Most back ward Ex.Servicemen and their families in India in particularly Ruaral India.

Three Cheersss tooooooo ECHS !!!!!!!! Well done !!! Well maintained clinics in the ruaral India!!!! Its the extreme exemplary
yeomen services to the poor ex-servicemen and families.

Mr.PA>Mariappan is so called as PAMA at Tachanallur.His arts becomes so famous in and around Tirunelveli and now his works has been accepted at the National and Inter National level..He is holding a sample wooden frame which he has made by him at hios age of 10 or so.WEhile making he never uses any micrometer.vernier scales and electronic gadgets for his accuracy.Everything hon hios brains and the fittings and finishes his favourites.Accuracies on measurements is his great skill.But he is so simple man for his friends,good master for his co-workers,Best dad for his lovely childs,and most appreciable and stanch follower of PERIYAR EVR and so simple in living and lovely smiles when he explains hios back ground and he was a school drop out at the Class 4 are to be noted.Keeps up PAMA!!!

Mr.Mariappan the resident of Tachanallur at No 54,Puthamman koil street is very famously been called by his friends and followers as BABA.Actually so called BABA was born at the Village of KAYATHAR pon the National Highway NO/ 07 towards chennai Near Tirunelveli.Dist.His father was an artisan family and he was from gold smith by his cast and making gods and godesses on metal statues at that time.

Eventhough they were very well recognised artisans of the district but the cash in flow was meagre on those days.Further poverty prevails on the vilage for that type of artisans.And also no ways have been found for the regular income to fill up their stomachs.

Under this Conditions also the young Mariappan was just eagerly watching his dads art of statues making and get lot of annoyance of his jobs.He has made metal statues for many temples in and around Tirunelveli,but those gods were neglecting the family with poverty,and deceases everyday .

How ever he start hating the Hindu or any gods during his younger life itself.He donna belief there is a god, almighty,jesus or Allah everything is making the public fools and enjoyed by the few peoples in the world.His poverty made him to a strong stanch follower of VAIKOM Leader PERIYAR on those young age itself.

So due to poverty he was shifted his place of livings to MUKOODAL is a place nearCHERANMAHADEVI enroute to courtalam.He has been accomodated by the great BEEDI KING THANA.BEENA.SOKKALAL RAMSAIT at his residence and made a workshop on carpentry works.Along with many including his father he has learnt lot on wooden works and carving on them was his very interesting subjects.

How ever he has picked up his self interesting carving and wood works and his long visions on wood works on the great world leaders and scientists on his carving works and he has been appreciated by Sokkala Ramsait and his colleques and they all wished him all the best.So in the year 1986-87 he started making fine finishing and very dedicated works on woods and the presentations.

Since then he was shifted to Tachanallur to make a workshop on his own with few of his co-workers.Slowly his fine works on wood carvings took off and many were appreciating and he has increased his working strengths to 15.On his workshop others will be doing their normal home requirements jobs like ,chairs,tables, sofa sets,windows,and carved windows,doors and decorative pieces of the house hold articles.

When others are on normal works but Mariappan will be thinking many imageries,decoratives,exporting and award winning was his dreams.Ofcourse his dreams has comes true when the Distric collector came to know his wood carvings and wood decorations his visit to his factory become very famous.Collector of Tirunelveli Mr.Dhanavel IAS forwarded his name with his manufacturing items to the State of Tamil nadu for the appreciations and from then onwards his works and goods were start reaching for the competions on All India basis.

Since then he has been awarded state as well as All India Awards for Great Artisans award of India and so on.His works were being send to kinness book of Records for their kind recognitions.Few samples works of his own have been dispalyed at our site galleries.

Miss gayathri from Tanjore gave a wonderful dance perfomance for the gr8 audience of Nalungu activities of the marriage of Mr.Hari weds Subbhu Lakshmi.She has danced for a very famous Movie of Sangamam and the song was “Margazhi thingazh allava” gave lot of applauses from audiences. She is studying in 7 th std at Tanjore’s some famous high school!
